This visually and auditory captivating award-winning production combines the passion, fire and intensity of authentic contemporary Flamenco dance with the rich, complex and sensuous sounds of classical guitar. Internationally acclaimed dancer and choreographer, Tanya Diamond, and concert guitarist and Stellenbosch Conservatorium lecturer, Nina Fourie-Gouws, combine artistic forces in LA FEMME!. The programme includes works by Albéniz, Brouwer, Barrios, Domeniconi, Ibert, Tárrega and Vivaldi. Traditional Spanish accompaniment, including castanets, cajon and palmas, will be provided by members of the SoloFLAMENCO dance studio.”
